Safety Harbor Residence, Florida Sinkhole Remediation Pressure Grouting & Underpinning Geotechnical Engineer: CFTL Structural Engineer: Bracken Engineering This single family residence located in a gated community had been affected by significant settlement damage. An addition to the master suite began to settle shortly after construction. The engineers determined that both sinkhole activity and buried debris were contributing factors to the cause of settlement. A remedial program consisting of deep compaction grouting and steel underpinning was successfully implemented to stabilize the residence and help return the building to its original condition.
